Great short film of what Twin Oaks has been and continues to be. This reporter asked probing questions and visited at a lovely time of year! Twin Oaks’ legacy is in the hundreds of “graduates” of this school of cooperative living, having lived that life (from 6 months to 30 years), are transformed by the experience, and bring these ideas into the larger world.

    1. Hi Jake, I’m serious about wanting to quote you. Your comment has inspired me to write a piece about communes as educational institutions and I would like to include what you wrote (with attribution) in the post. Please let me know if that’s okay. – Raven

  2. Thanks, Jake,

I think that’s a great way to look at the communes–as graduate schools or educational experiences that send some of the concepts we practice into the world. I love it.
